Do you love Christmas time as much as I do? I just love the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas. It is such a wonderful time of year!
Let’s go to Downtown Baton Rouge on December 3, 2010 and help Mayor Kip Holden turn on the city’s Christmas Lights! The lighting of our 35 foot Christmas Tree will be at 6:15pm Where Third Street meets North Boulevard.
There will be free Ice Skating at the Baton Rouge River Center hosted by Capital One Bank, the Shaw Center will be showing Classic Christmas Movies, Holiday Street Dancing with music provided by Ned Fasullo and his Fabulous Big Band Orchestra at the Galvez Plaza, The Festival of Lights Snowball Express train will be running up and down North Boulevard for your Christmas Light viewing pleasure, The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge will have a Santa Shoppe for your shopping pleasure and I have even heard that there will be six tons of SNOW to play in! The festivities will run from 4:00 – 9:00pm and they are FREE!
