Keller Williams Realty offices worldwide host an Annual Red Day for agents to “Give Where You Live”. Red Day is one day of the year when all Keller Williams agents spend the day offering different varieties of community service of their choice to their local communities.
This year Keller Williams First Choice in Ascension has chosen to raise money for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank which services people in need in Baton Rouge and all of its surrounding parishes. Several of our agents have worked closely with the food bank through the years and are aware that the summer months are some of the hardest hit months for school children in our area. In addition to the need, the donations given to the Food Bank are not as high as they are during other times of the year such as holidays. We have been informed that during the summer months, school aged children who normally eat free or reduced lunch, are taking turns on what day of the week they will be able to eat. Yes, this is happening locally and all around us right here in the Greater Baton Rouge area.
All of us at Keller Williams First Choice will be working hard to raise money and non-perishable food items to donate. World Champion Jambalaya Cook, Jody Elisar will be cooking the Jambalaya and our Keller Williams agents will be preparing and delivering plates on Thursday, May 12, 2011. There is also a barrel in our office for non-perishable food items to be donated. If you are willing to help these children over the summer, please come by and pick up lunch for only $7.00! If you have an order of 10 or more plates, let me know and I will deliver them to you! 225-572-2932 or email@example.com*Photo Courtesy of Lisa Heindel at www.WestBankLiving.com
