Christmas Tree Recycling in Greater Baton Rouge

As Christmas comes to an end, many of you will be starting to take down your beautiful Christmas trees and will be looking for Christmas Tree Recycling information. The Department of Environmental Services has released the following information:

Curbside Tree Pickup

East Baton Rouge Parish pick up range is January 8-21, 2018 (excluding Baker and Zachary).
Trees might be picked up on non-scheduled days, so leave tree out during that 2-week window.

Sites open through January 26, 2018, at these locations:
BREC Parks:
*Independence Park, parking lot off Lobdell –
between tennis courts and Liberty Lagoon
*Highland Road Park, 14024 Highland Road
*Memorial Stadium, grassy lot near the corner
of Scenic and Foss
*Flannery Road Park, 801 S. Flannery
*LSU, Skip Bertman Dr. (lot across from Vet School

TO RECYCLE YOUR TREE, REMOVE ALL DECORATIONS AND STAND. DO NOT PLACE IN BAG!

* Clean Trees should be placed at the curb 3’ from other garbage and unbundled trash.
Trees with flocking, decorations, stands or in bags will still be picked up as trash but not recycled.

Ascension Parish

Ascension Parish Residents can drop off their trees at Lamar Dixon Expo Center from December 28, 2017, through January 12, 2018. Lamar Dixon is located in Gonzales at 9039 St. Landry Road.
