In the heart of Gonzales,
there is a little treasure called Jambalaya Park.
Located on E Cornerview right by City Hall, you couldn’t ask for a better location.
The park offers a playground with swings, slides, and rubberized flooring for the kiddos and covered picnic areas for their caregivers to watch them.
When the kids get too hot, you can walk them across the parking lot to the spray park. There are benches and covered areas to watch the kids get soaked from the buckets of water falling on them or the sporadic water sprays from the ground.
The Jambalaya Park also has an Amphitheater. In the Spring and Fall, there are free music concerts, Music In The Park. During Christmas time Volunteer Ascension has had free movie nights. Christmas movies and hot cocoa get everyone in the Christmas spirit for sure. The Amphitheater can also be rented for private parties.
There is a beautiful fountain that is so relaxing to sit next to. When you are ready to take a walk, there are walkways over the Koi ponds. Jambalaya Park is a great place to take pictures. You will often find photographers doing family photos, and during homecoming/prom season this is a favorite spot for photos.
Want to do some swimming? Jambalaya Park has you covered there too. There is a full-size Olympic swimming pool you can purchase a membership to use. The Jambalaya Park Pool is a favorite spot in the summer as you can imagine! The pool offers open swim time, swimming lessons and a swim team.
